Making the Coimbatore-Dubai flight service a people’s movement!

Despite years of insistence on starting flights from Coimbatore to Dubai, the central government has so far made no ation leaving passengers disappointed. According to the entrepreneurs, a people's movement is forming in Coimbatore to press this demand.

Coimbatore: Flights from Coimbatore to Dubai have been requested by the public and industry.

Coimbatore International Airport has direct flights to several parts of the country as well as two international nations, Sharjah and Singapore.

People travelling from Coimbatore to many countries, including Europe, use airports like as Cochin, Chennai, and Bengaluru because there are few international flights.

If you provide direct flights from Coimbatore to Dubai, you would be able to go to many destinations around the world from there. For more than a decade, passengers and industry organisations have been asking airlines to resume flights to Dubai.

Ashok Gajapathi When Raju Pasupathi was Minister of Civil Aviation, he attended an interactive session with the industry in Coimbatore. He accepted the plea and vowed in front of everyone that Air India (which was then in government hands) would begin flights between Coimbatore and Dubai.

However, other persons, including the Union Minister and airline CEOs, have reiterated the demand to this day. Flight operations are yet to begin. Disappointed with this, travellers have begun to demand that a flight service between Coimbatore and Dubai be established.

According to Nandakumar, Director of the Kongu Global Forum (KGF), Coimbatore, as an industrial city, excels globally in a variety of disciplines like as education, medicine, spirituality, and tourism. "We have been urging the Government of India to start flights from Coimbatore to Dubai because there are currently only two flights to foreign countries."

There is currently a problem with operating only 'White Body' aircraft on the Coimbatore runway. However, aircraft of the Nero Body type are easily handled. Currently, such flights are operated out of Singapore and Sharjah.

Similarly, a flight between Coimbatore and Dubai on behalf of 'Fly Dubai' must be launched. One of the reasons cited is Coimbatore's exclusion from the "Pilateral Agreement." If the national government believes so, it can make some changes and begin flights from Coimbatore to Dubai.

So far, the demand put forward on behalf of industry organisations has evolved into a people's movement. Many people have come together and started making requests on social media for flights to Dubai to begin as soon as possible. As a result, the central government should move quickly to establish flight services between Coimbatore and Dubai.
