AITUC private motor workers unite: Protesting in Tirupur!

The Tirupur district AITUC private motor workers' union organised a protest in front of the district collectorate, demanding for the repeal of the new Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Slogans were raised against the central government.



Tirupur: The Tirupur district AITUC private motor workers' union held a protest requesting that the new Motor Vehicle Safety Act be repealed.

The knitting sector has been severely harmed as a result of the Modi government's poor economic policies, including sharp price increases and an ineffective GST regime. In this situation, the auto drivers and owners who rely on the Baniyan business are confronted with a variety of crises.

The demonstration was organised to demand that the new Motor Vehicle Safety Act, which primarily affects motorists, be repealed immediately.



Today, the Tirupur district AITUC private motor workers' union protested in front of the Tiruppur district collectorate, raising slogans calling for the repeal of the new Motor Vehicle Safety Act.

Furthermore, even if the documents are accurate, the police have threatened to formally open a case. Additionally, they criticise the drivers in unison.



They claimed that under the guise of document checks, vehicles were made to wait on busy roads like Tirupur Perumanallur Road, Dharapuram Road, Palladam Road, and Avinashi Road.



Slogans that denounced the police for engaging in such actions were also raised. More than 100 people took part in the demonstration.
