Oscar success: Bomman - Belli get 24 hour police protection

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Mudumalai tomorrow to congratulate Bomman and Belli, who were featured in the documentary The Elephant's Whispers. Bomman and Belli have been provided 24-hour police security for this purpose.


The Nilgiris: Elephant Bagan Bomman Pelli has been granted 24-hour police security before of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's arrival to Mudumalai.

The Elephant Whispers is a documentary film about the link between newborn elephants who have been removed from their moms and the pagans who are caring for them in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve in the Nilgiris district.

Karthaki, who lives in Mumbai, directed the film. Last month, The Elephant's Whisperers won the Oscar for outstanding documentary.



Following this, the film's director, as well as the actors Bomman and Belli, became famous all over the world. Several people have praised them. Chief Minister M K Stalin personally contacted them, congratulated them, and provided them with a gift.



Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Mudumalai tomorrow to congratulate Bomman and Belli, who are featured in the documentary. He visits the Mudumalai Theppakadu Elephant Rearing Camp and sees Bomman and Pelli in person, congratulating them with Ponnadai.

As a result, Bomman and Belli have been given police protection. A police officer has been stationed in front of their home and is standing guard around the clock. Those who come to meet them are only accepted after extensive screening.
