A 40 coconut trees problem in Puthupalayam village near Palladam was personally investigated by the district joint director of agriculture. During that time, the farmer requested that those who poured the blessings be detained as soon as possible.

Tirupur: The district joint director of agriculture examined the acid-treated coconut trees in Puthupalayam panchayat. Kavin Kumar is the son of Jeganathan, who lives in Puthupalayam village near Palladam in Tirupur district.

On his four-acre property, he has planted and nurtured about 300 coconut saplings. Kavin Kumar and his neighbor Subramanian are said to have already had a land conflict. A case has been lodged in court on the subject, and an investigation is underway. Kavin Kumar went to his garden in the early hours of the morning four days ago and was horrified to discover that unidentified persons had poured acid and herbicide into the seedlings of 40 coconut saplings.

Kavin Kumar has filed a complaint with the Avinasipalayam police station, seeking compensation of around Rs 2 lakh for 40 coconut saplings and suspicion against Subramanian, Kavin Kumar's neighbor, seeking action against those who poured acid on the seedlings, as all 40 coconut saplings have been completely burnt and dried up.

Today, Tirupur District Joint Director of Agriculture Mariyappan and Pongalur Block Agriculture Officer examined the affected coconut trees.

He also stated that the required steps will be taken to revitalise the coconut trees, and that suggestions will be made to the farmer. Acid is also put into the coconut tree? Is it a herbicide? Kavin Kumar, a farmer, claimed that the officials had not conducted any study on the amount of damage caused by the revenue department and that no action had been taken against those who destroyed the coconut trees even after four days.
