Coimbatore: An act of bravery by an ambulance medical assistant and the driver saved the life of a mother and infant at Sultanpet, Coimbatore.
On Thursday, Priya, a resident of Varapatti, Sultanpet, Coimbatore, suffered labour pain. Sivaraj her husband immediately reached 108 ambulance to rush her to the Chandrapuram Government Primary Health Center.
In this situation, an emergency occurred when the ambulance reached near Ravuthar Pirivu, Sulur, wherein the baby's head waspushed out. Subsequently, the infant's head was completely out. Following this, the ambulance medical assistant Rajeshwari with the help of emergency driver Dandayuthapani performed a safe delivery in the ambulance saving two lives.
Later the mother and the baby were admitted to the Sulur Government Hospital. Examining the health condition of the baby and mother, the doctors declared them safe and appreciated the promptness of the ambulance workers.
