Sanitary napkin incineration machine handed over to R S Puram Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore

Corporation Commissioner M. Prathap distributed sanitary napkin incineration machines provided to the girl students in schools on behalf of Yuva Foundation, Coimbatore and inspected the R.S. Puram Corporation School.



Coimbatore: Municipal Commissioner M. Prathap distributed sanitary napkin incineration machines to the girls studying in 25 corporation schools at a cost of Rs.7.50 lakh at a function held at R.S.Puram Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School under Ward No.71, West Zone at a cost of Rs.7.50 lakh.



Speaking on the occasion, the Municipal Commissioner said, “Following the chief minister's directive to promote girls' education in a better way, they have announced an allocation of Rs 2,000 crore for the school education department.

Corporation schools and government schools should be at par with private schools. Therefore, for the girls studying in Coimbatore Corporation Schools, a sum of Rs.7.50 lakhs has been sanctioned by Yuva Foundation for providing sanitary napkin incinerators for the use of girls studying in 25 Corporation Schools.

Moreover, in order to ensure that the education of the girls studying in all corporation schools is not affected in any way and they reach higher levels, the girls should be at par with men in education.

The girls should excel in their studies, excel in the future and excel in various fields and become a pioneer for the Corporation and Coimbatore district.

Following this, the Corporation Commissioner personally inspected the R.S. Puram Corporation School under Ward No.72, West Zone.



Prepare a suitable project estimate for upgradation of the infrastructure facilities required to convert it into a model school in the study and get the approval and take up the works at the earliest.

Further, the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation will personally inspect the progress of the construction of tarroad in arunachalam road area and complete the works expeditiously and qualitatively.

Municipal Commissioner M. Prathap has also directed the engineers to prepare a project estimate for construction of a new storm water drain in the area.
