VAO found unconscious under the influence of alcohol in Palladam

Tahsildar Jaisingh said departmental action would be taken against Jaganathan, village administrative officer of Madhapur village in Tirupur district, who was under the influence of alcohol during duty hours.


Tirupur: Jaganathan is working as an additional village administrative officer at Madhapur in Palladam taluk of Tirupur district. Yesterday afternoon, Madhapur panchayat vice-president Balasubramaniyam contacted the village administrative officer Jeganathan to talk to him about the road issue.



VAO Jeganathan, who was under the influence of alcohol, reportedly spoke disrespectfully to Balasubramaniyam. Following this, Balasubramaniyam searched for village administrative officer Jeganathan at several places. At that time, Jeganathan was found lying unconscious in an inebriated state near a house.

He has also lodged a complaint with the District Collector seeking departmental action against Jeganathan, who was found unconscious after consuming alcohol during his duty hours.

When asked about this, Tahsildar Jaisingh Shivakumar said, he said departmental action would be taken against Jaganathan, who was under the influence of alcohol during duty hours, as per the district collector's order. There was a commotion in the area by the village administrative officer who was found unconscious under the influence of alcohol during his duty hours.
