Impersonation in Indian Forest Research Examination - Four arrested in Coimbatore

Four youths from Haryana have been arrested for their alleged involvement in an impersonation racket in the Indian Council of Forest Research and Education (IER) recruitment 2019 in Coimbatore.



Coimbatore: Police have arrested four youths for their alleged involvement in an impersonation racket in the Indian Council of Forest Research and Education (IER) staff selection.



The Indian Council of Forest Research and Education (IWER) conducted a written examination for the employees in Coimbatore on November 4. Students from different states of India applied and appeared for the exam.

The document verification and interview for those who have passed the exam was held at the college premises yesterday. At that time, four persons from Haryana were found struggling to speak in English. When they were asked to write in English, they did not know how to write.

Subsequently, it was found that he had impersonated and written the exam. Director of the Forest Research and Education Committee, lodged a complaint at Saibaba the police station. Based on the complaint, the Saibaba Colony police have arrested four persons — R Amit Kumar (30), S Amit Kumar (26), Amit (23) and Sulaiman (25), all from Haryana.



Speaking on the occasion, City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan said, A case has been registered and four people have been arrested on the basis of a complaint of impersonation in the Indian Council of Forest Research and Education (IWER) examination. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the exam impersonation was driven from behind by a person from Haryana.

Similarly, an investigation has been conducted into the possibility of impersonation in other examination centres as well. He also said that an investigation is underway to ascertain who the coordinator is.
