Thick fog hampers ongoing traffic on arterial Valparai-Pollachi road since early morning

Even though foggy conditions prevailed two-wheelers, four-wheelers and heavy vehicles were said to be operated at high speeds in this stretch heightening the risk of accidents.


Coimbatore: Due to thick heavy fog conditions that prevailed on the Valparai-Pollachi road from early this morning, visibility was affected and the ongoing vehicles switched on their headlights.



Motorists were inconvenienced due to dense fog on the Valparai-Pollachi road and the foggy conditions was witnessed in the estate areas like Kavarkal, Sakthi, Thalanar, Water Falls and Attakatti areas.



Even though foggy conditions prevailed two-wheelers, four-wheelers and heavy vehicles were said to be operated at high speeds in this stretch heightening the risk of accidents.



The Police advised motorists to operate their vehicles in hilly areas with minimum speed to avoid accidents.
