Newborn infant abandoned in a garbage bin, rescued by police near Thirumalainaickenpalayam

A one-and-a-half-month-old infant, who was abandoned in a garbage bin at Thirumalainaickenpalayam in Coimbatore district, was rescued safely.


Coimbatore: A sanitary worker was collecting garbage near Thirumalainaickenpalayam in Coimbatore when she overheard the cries of a newborn child

To his shock, he found that a baby boy abandoned in the bin.

On the basis of the information given by him, the public informed the Periyanaickenpalayam police, who arrived at the scene.

The Police rescued the child with the help of 108 ambulance and sent him to Coimbatore government hospital for treatment.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
