Public grievances day meeting at City Corporation stands cancelled, as Mayor is away on a Palani Padayatra

The public grievances day meeting scheduled for today at the Coimbatore Corporation office has been cancelled as Mayor Kalpana has gone on a Padayatra to Palani Murugan temple.


Coimbatore: Kalpana Anandakumar has embarked on a Padyatra to Palani Murugan temple due to which the grievances day meeting scheduled for today at the city Corporation office stood cancelled.

The Mayor, along with party functionaries from her hometown Maniyakaranpalayam, left for Palani on Saturday on the occasion of the Thaipoosam festival.

She reached Palani temple last night. Due to this, the public grievance meeting scheduled to be held today at the Corporation's main office stood cancelled.

It is to be noted that the grievance day meeting, was also postponed last week (Tuesday) citing administrative reasons.

This is the second such instance of cancellation of the meeting in recent weeks.
