'Coimbatore will always have a special place in my heart:' Former Coimbatore Dist. Collector, Dr. G S Sameeran

"I was very impressed by the love and affection of the people of Coimbatore. Coimbatore will always have a special place in my heart," stated Dr. G S Sameeran who has been transferred to Chennai.


Coimbatore: Even as there was a shuffle of IAS officers in Tamil Nadu, Dr. G S Sameeran who was the Coimbatore District Collector has been transferred to Chennai Corporation.

The former Coimbatore District Collector will travel to Chennai tomorrow for the oath-taking ceremony. "I was very impressed by the love and affection of the people of Coimbatore and Coimbatore will always have a special place in my heart," he tweeted.

"Dear People of Coimbatore, I had a satisfactory tenure in Coimbatore. During this period we did many things together and touched the lives of many marginalised people. From the time of the Covid crisis till date, all of you have supported the district administration for all the good things. I was very impressed by the love and affection of the people of Coimbatore. Coimbatore will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you to all of you," tweeted Dr. G S Sameeran.
