Superintending Engineer of the Udumalai Power Distribution cycle has announced that there are no plans to shift the SC office from Udumalai to Pollachi.
Tirupur: It has been officially announced that the office of the TANGEDCO Superintending engineer ( Udumalai power distribution cycle) at Udumalpet in Tirupur district will not be shifted to Pollachi.
As there were reports that the office of the Superintending Engineer of Udumalai Power Distribution cycle will be shifted to Pollachi, opposition mounted.
The decision to transfer was strongly opposed by the Communist Party of India (Marxist), The Bharatiya Janata Party, the AMMK and various other public organisations.
To clear the air, Superintending Engineer S Viswanathan has issued an official statement saying that no such decision has been taken to shift the SC office to Pollachi.
The people of Udumalpet are happy with this official announcement that the office of the Superintending engineer will not be shifted to Pollachi.
