Pollachi Municipal meet passes 47 resolutions, including one for help line to attend civic problems

A toll free help line number 14420 to lodge complaints with the municipal office about the civic and sanitation amenities in the town is to be introduced.


Coimbatore: The Municipal council meeting was convened at Pollachi Municipality chaired by Municipal Chairman Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan

In the meeting a total of 47 resolutions were passed at the meeting.

A toll free help line number 14420 to lodge complaints with the municipal office about the sanitation amenities in the town was to be introduced.



The councillors, who participated in the meeting, spoke about the civic problems in their wards and the need to take steps to complete the on-going works expeditiously.

The Municipal chairman also assured in the meeting that action would be taken on the demands of the councillors on a war footing.

Later speaking to reporters, Municipal chairman Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan said that the funds will be allocated to set up a water treatment plant when drawing water from Uppar during the rainy.
