TN Ministers M.P Saminathan and Kayalvizhi Selvaraj inaugurate 19th Book Fair at Tirupur

TN Ministers M.P Saminathan and Kayalvizhi Selvaraj inaugurated the 19th Book Fair on behalf of the Tirupur District administration and 'Pinnal' Book Trust.

The 19th edition of the Book Festival will go on for the next 10 days.



The 10-day book festival will continue till February 5. Out of the 150 stalls, 126 book stalls and 24 government department stalls are put up for the festival.



Sahitya Akademi, NCPH, Kalachuvadu, East, Goura, Vikatan, Bharathi, Vijaya Bharatham, Vijaya, Thamizhini, Uyirmai, Periyar Self-Respect, Science Board, Arogya Books, Surya Publications, Hindu Tamil Direction, Success Books, Book World, Bookbar Children and other leading book publishing houses and sellers of Tamil Nadu participated in the exhibition and exhibited their editions.



For all books purchased at the book festival, a discount of at least 10 per cent will be offered.



Every day, 10 school students participating in the book festival will be selected through a lottery and each of them will be given books worth Rs.500 each.

Art and literature programmes are being held every evening at the book festival.
