Coimbatore: A team surgeon in the Coimbatore Medical College hospital removed a piece of plastic stuck in the respiratory tract of a seven-month-old baby without any surgery.

A seven-month-old baby boy from Negamam in Pollachi taluk was rushed to Pollachi government hospital by his parents after he suddenly complained of breathlessness.

From there, the doctors sent the baby by ambulance to Coimbatore Medical College hospital for further treatment.

The ENT doctors from the special ward examined the child by endoscopy method and found out that a piece of plastic was stuck in the baby's respiratory tract.

The team of ENT doctors immediately removed the piece of plastic safely without operating on the child.
