Coimbatore: AIADMK's propaganda secretary Pugazhenthi has said that the BJP will hold talks only with OPS regarding the alliance for the Erode East by-election.
Pugazhenthi, the propaganda secretary of the AIADMK OPS faction, held a press conference in Coimbatore.
“In the recently concluded assembly elections, the AIADMK contested in six constituencies in alliance and lost in all the constituencies, adding that they are demanding that they contest from Erode East constituency as well. Edappadi Palanisamy was trying to escape by handing over the constituency back to G K Vasan.
We are ready to contest in Erode. We are waiting for what OPS has to say. OPS is the only one who owns the two leaves (Irattai Ilai) symbol. He said that a decision on the electoral alliance would be taken only after talks with the BJP and OPS.
"Jayakumar, a former minister who lost from his own constituency, has become a political orphan. He has no right to comment. Edappadi K Palaniswami is planning to eliminate the AIADMK behind the scenes.
I am with OPS only to get rid of the dictator Palaniswami. Former minister S P Velumani is smarter than Edappadi K Palaniswami in the AIADMK at present. Knows the situation on the ground.
Since Edappadi K Palaniswami has resigned from the post of his co-coordinator, he does not have any post in the party. Aiadmk has nothing to do with Edappadi K Palaniswami.
Moreover, all the mlAs with Edappadi K Palaniswami won only because of OPS. If there is anger, let Edappadi Palanisamy resign from the post signed by OPS," he said.
