Final electoral roll of Tirupur district released; Voters total stands at 23,26,486

The Tirupur District Collector, S Vineeth released the final voters' list of the district on Thursday, which revealed that there are 11,44,309 male voters, 11,81,334 female voters and 334 third gender voters.



Tirupur: The final voters' list for eight assembly constituencies in Tirupur district, including Palladam, Avinashi, Tirupur South and North, was released on Thursday. The list was released by the Tirupur District Collector S Vineeth in the presence of all recognised political parties.



According to the final electoral roll which totalled 23,26,486 voters, there are 11,44,309 male voters in all the eight assembly constituencies in Tirupur district, 11,81,843 women voters and 334 from the third gender.

In rural and urban areas, the District administration is creating awareness to include youth above 18 years of age in the electoral rolls. Political parties were also instructed to create awareness among the youth to include them in the electoral rolls in large numbers.

Further, the inclusion, deletion and correction of names in the electoral rolls can be done through the website www.nvsp.in but arrangements have also been made for the public to register their petitions through a mobile app called 'Voter's Helpline.'
