BJP National president J.P Nadda's tour will help the state unit grow stronger - BJP State President K. Annamalai

BJP State President Annamalai while speaking to press persons said that the BJP will win the Nilgiris parliamentary constituency.

Coimbatore: BJP leaders including Union Minister L Murugan, BJP National Women's Wing president Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP state President Annamalai, H Raja, Legislative party leader Nainar Nagendran, BJP co-in-charge Sudhakar Reddy offered prayers at the Kottai Easwaran temple in the city.

More than 100 BJP workers greeted the leaders who came to the temple with aarthi. It is to be noted that BJP national president J P Nadda, who is supposed to visit the temple, could not do so due to a delay in his departure in Delhi due to fog.

Speaking to reporters later, K. Annamalai said, BJP president JP Nadda is scheduled to offer prayers at the Kottai Easwaran temple but his departure has been delayed due to fog at the Delhi airport.

So, we came to the temple and prayed that the people of Tamil Nadu and the people of India should be doing well. A public meeting will be held at Mettupalayam this evening which JP Nadda would address.

“The party programmes will continue as soon as BJP national president Nadda arrives. As the BJP national president is scheduled to tour across the country, He will start the journey from Coimbatore and the Nilgiris” Annamalai said.

“Responding to a question on how strong the BJP is, Annamalai said, "As far as the BJP is concerned, there is already one MLA in Coimbatore. Central Minister of State L Murugan is concentrating on the Nilgiris parliamentary constituency”.In the Nilgiris parliamentary constituency, he has been solving basic grievances to a great extent. Moreover, since the region is dominated by nationalistic instincts, which has a lot of BJP support, the arrival of BJP national president Nadda will pave the way for further strengthening of the BJP” Annamalai said

Replying to a question as to why the AIADMK leaders, who usually meet BJP national leaders have not visited them this time, he said the dates have been announced in advance and they are holding their meeting but the BJP's programme has been planned only three days ago.

As a precautionary measure, more than over 50 stores including textile and bookshops operating in the area were closed during the BJP leaders' visit.
