General public scared of wild life intrusion into Thadagam neighbourhood, Forest officials advise to exercise caution

As wild elephants and bisons are straying out of the forest area near Thadagam and are roaming near the Mankarai settlement, the public is in a state of fear. The Forest officials have instructed those going for grazing goats and cows to exercise caution and stay safe.

Coimbatore: Wild life intrusion into neighbourhood has become a regular phenomenon, near Thadagam and Anaikatti areas in recent years.

Recently, elephants and bison have invaded the streams and rivers near the residential areas in search of food and water in the Mankarai areas of Thadagam Valley, which comes under Veerapandi revenue village.

Due to this, Forest officials have advised goat herders, members of public and motorists to move with caution, where wildlife intrusion takes place.

Even as the month of Margazhi has begun, visibility has been reduced in the morning hours due to thick fog.

Considering this, the Forest officials have advised motorists to switch on the headlights and ride with caution in these stretches.
