Coimbatore District Collector G S Sameeran and Coimbatore Municipal City Corporation Commissioner M Prathap welcomed the students of Government schools and transgenders who arrived in Coimbatore by plane which was organised by a Chennai - based NGO.
Coimbatore: On behalf of Rain Drops, an NGO based in Chennai, several Government school students and transgenders from Chennai were flown by plane to Coimbatore for the first time and toured important places of interest in Coimbatore district, for a day.

Coimbatore District Collector G S Sameeran and Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner M Prathap received the contingent of Government School students and transgenders at the Coimbatore airport.

The contingent were on a day - long tour and visited museums and parks in Coimbatore district.
Coimbatore District Revenue Divisional Officer Pumima and NGO representatives were present to give the contingent a warm welcome at the airport. 'Cook with Komali' fame Shivangi was also present at the event along with the students.
