Ex-MNM functionary Arunachalam resigns from BJP; Rejoins Makkal Needhi Maiam

Arunachalam, the former General Secretary of the Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) had crossed over to the BJP two years ago. After meeting MNM President Kamal Haasan, Arunachalam rejoined the party and then arrived in Coimbatore to meet all the party volunteers for a meeting.



Coimbatore: After two years of being in the BJP after crossing over from Makkal Needhi Maiam, former MNM General Secretary Arunachalam met MNM President, Kamal Haasan and rejoined the party.

Following the new development, a meeting was held at the Town Hall in Coimbatore to meet the office bearers of Makkal Needhi Maiam. 



Later, addressing a press conference, Arunachalam said, "After an exile, I have come back to 'Thaai Party.' All the volunteers of the party gave me a heartfelt welcome. I have come to Coimbatore first to thank the office bearers and volunteers. Nammavar told me to immediately go to the field and listen to the opinions of the volunteers and tell him about it. 

I am grateful to all MNM District Secretaries, Zonal Secretaries and all those here who are working for the elections. Discussions are being held to ensure a landslide victory for MNM in the parliamentary elections. This will be the first start to the elections."

The meeting was attended by MNM Vice-President Thangavelu, State Secretaries Mayilsamy, Mookambika Rathinam, Anusha Ravi and party functionaries.
