Coimbatore Collector extends loan assistance of ₹15 lakh each to 5 beneficiaries under Vaazhndhu Kaattuvom scheme

Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran distributed a loan assistance of Rs.15 lakh each to five beneficiaries along with subsidy to start new industries under the Vaazhndhu Kaattuvom scheme.


Coimbatore: A scheme called "Vaazhndhu Kaattuvom" was developed with the aim of creating a transition to rural institutional development finances and employment opportunities by creating the stability and prosperity of rural communities.

In Coimbatore District, 54 Village Panchayats in 4 Blocks viz., Karamadai, Periyanaickenpalayam, Annur and Sarkar Samakulam are being implemented.



In this situation, under the Vaazhndhu Kaattuvom project at the Collectorate auditorium in Coimbatore, Collector Sameeran distributed bank loan assistance of Rs 15 lakh each to five beneficiaries from Sarkar Samakulam block to develop their businesses and start new ones.

Out of the Rs 15 lakh loan assistance, Rs. 4.50 lakh is subsidy - that is, 30 per cent of the loan assistance - the government provides as subsidy. It is to be noted that ₹10.50 lakh will have to be repaid by the beneficiaries.
