Coimbatore: For the past 10 years, the Arunthathiyar community in Ravathur area of Irugur Town Panchayat near Sulur in Coimbatore district have been demanding free house site pattas.
They submitted a petition to the Irugur Town Panchayat President A Chandran that their demands were pending even after submitting petitions from Fort to Kottalam.

At that time, Irugur Town Panchayat President A Chandran assured them that their petiton would be brought to the notice of the Chief Minister and that the 10-year-old demand of the Arunthathiyar community would be fulfilled soon.

Mandram member Nadhiya Ravichandran and State Vice-President of the People's Guide Movement Mayilsamy, and Coimbatore District President Shanmugasundaram were also present on the occasion.
