Coimbatore Mayor inspects construction of tar roads in areas under Coimbatore East Zone

Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar inspected the ongoing work on the construction of tar roads in the areas falling under Coimbatore Corporation's east zone and instructed officials to complete the works expeditiously.


Coimbatore: The construction of a 1,470-metre stretch of tar road from Codissia Road to Thanneerpanthal Road under Ward No.24 of Coimbatore Corporation East Zone is in progress under the Tamil Nadu Urban Roads Infrastructure Project.



Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar personally inspected the works and directed officials to complete the works expeditiously and qualitatively. The Mayor also inspected the measurement of the length and width of the road by engineers. He also instructed officials to send the sample to the laboratory for testing to ensure the quality of the tarred road.

Deputy Mayor Vetriselvan, Corporation Deputy Commissioner Sharmila, Councillor Bhupathi and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
