After complaints of bribery, DVAC investigates at Malumichampatti EB office in Coimbatore

A team led by Additional DSP Divya is investigating the matter since 10 am on Thursday on the basis of a tip-off that bribes were being accepted from the public for service-related work.



Coimbatore: Following persistent complaints of bribery, sleuths from the district unit of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) held investigation at the Malumichampatti electricity board office, here on Thursday. 

The team led by DVAC DSP Divya held investigations on the basis of confidential information received that officials were receiving bribes from the public for service-related work.

The team is interrogating foreman Shankar Ganesh and Assistant Engineer Subramaniam who are working at the Office of the Malumichampatti Electricity Board.
