2,617 candidates did not appear in Group 1 examination in Tirupur district informs TNPSC

While the Group I examination for 92 vacant posts including that of Deputy Collector is underway on Saturday, 2,617 out of 5,856 candidates who had applied in Tiruppur district did not appear for the exam, according to the TNPSC data.


Tirupur: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) announced the Group-I examination for the recruitment of 92 vacant posts of Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Assistant Director of Commercial Taxes, Registrar of Cooperatives, Assistant Director of Rural Development and District Fire Service Officer.



A total of 5856 candidates had applied for this in Tirupur district. As many as 20 centres, including Government schools and colleges in Tirupur district were arranged for the Group 1 exam. Heavy police security had been put in place ahead of the examination. TNPSC stated that of the 5,856 candidates who had applied for the Group I exam which is underway, 2,617 did not appear for the exam.
