Maintenance works between Podanur - Coimbatore Jn; stoppages of trains altered between Nov 16 to Dec 8.

In view of engineering maintenance works to be carried out between Podanur Jn – Coimbatore Jn, changes will be made in train services from 16.11.2022 to 08.12.2022. Hence, stoppages have been altered and short terminated for the said dates.


Coimbatore: In view of engineering maintenance works to be carried out between Podanur Jn – Coimbatore Jn, changes will be made in train services from 16.11.2022 to 08.12.2022, informed the Salem divison of railways.

Accordingly, Train No.13352 Alappuzha – Dhanbad Express (via Coimbatore Jn), will be diverted to run via Podanur – Irugur from 16.11.2022 to 08.12.2022. Consequently, the train will skip the stoppage at Coimbatore Jn. Instead, an additional stoppage of one minute duration will be provided for the train at Podanur Jn on the above mentioned dates.

Likewise, Train No.06458 Shoranur Jn – Coimbatore Jn train, scheduled to reach Coimbatore Jn at 11.10 hrs, will be short terminated at Podanur Jn from 16.11.2022 to 08.12.2022. The train will run from Shoranur Jn to Podanur Jn only. The train will not run from Podanur Jn to Coimbatore Jn. on the above mentioned dates.

Train No.16722 Madurai Jn – Coimbatore Jn train, scheduled to reach Coimbatore Jn at 12.45 hrs, will be short terminated at Podanur Jn from 16.11.2022 to 08.12.2022. The train will run from Madurai Jn to Podanur Jn only; it will not run from Podanur Jn to Coimbatore Jn on the above mentioned dates.

And, Train No.16608 Coimbatore Jn – Kannur train, scheduled to leave Coimbatore Jn at 14.20 hrs, will instead leave from Podanur Jn at 14.34 hrs from 16.11.2022 to 08.12.2022. The train will not run from Coimbatore Jn to Podanur Jn between 16.11.2022 to 08.12.2022.

Meanwhile, Train No.06459 Coimbatore Jn – Shoranur Jn train, scheduled to leave Coimbatore Jn at 16.30 hrs, will instead leave from Podanur Jn at 16.41 hrs from 16.11.2022 to 08.12.2022. The train will not run from Coimbatore Jn to Podanur Jn between 16.11.2022 to 08.12.2022.
