Indian Chamber of Commerce to promote green industries in Coimbatore using Taiwan technology

Taiwanese technicians are ready to provide technology to Coimbatore for several projects such as refining, for which Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Coimbatore and the National Manufacturing Council signed an Agreement on Friday.


Coimbatore: The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore and the National Manufacturing group signed an MoU on November 4 to work to promote the green industries in Coimbatore using Taiwan technologies.

An 8-member high-level industrial group from Taiwan participated to discuss creating green industrial growth in the city.



B. Sriramalu, the Chamber's president, while briefing the delegates and the media, said that “through this agreement, Coimbatore would get innovative technologies in various fields, including Taiwan's green industrial revolution, pollution control, wastewater treatment, use of electric vehicles, software cloud technology, seasonal change.



“Taiwanese technicians are ready to provide technology to Coimbatore for several projects such as refining, for which Coimbatore, the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Manufacturing Council signed an Agreement today”, he added.



The agreement helps the Coimbatore business people and new entrepreneurs to obtain more powerful technologies from Taiwan. Besides, the agreement also allows exporting products to Taiwan and using Taiwanese technologies in the factories here.

Sandeep Naik, IAS, Director General of the National Productivity Council, said that the central government would provide all the necessary assistance to the existing and new business start-ups in Coimbatore and its surrounding areas.

Production Team Director Sherlyn Lin and her 8-member team of Taiwanese technicians, who participated at the meeting, provided necessary advice to entrepreneurs who are about to start a business in this area, aiming to attain the objective of business in the city without causing any harm to the environment.

The agreement also paves the way for using various Taiwanese technologies in the city, including pollution control, wastewater treatment, and cloud technology.
