Coimbatore District Collector presides over Higher Education Placement Guidance Camp under 'Naan Mudhalvan' scheme in Coimbatore

Collector G S Sameeran stated that the Higher Education Placement Guidance Camp event under the 'Naan Mudhalvan' scheme will be very useful for students for their admission into reputed universities and skill development institutes by the country's top institutions.


Coimbatore: The School Education Department organized a Higher Education and Placement Guidance Camp under the Chief Minister's 'Naan Mudhalvan' scheme at the Collectorate auditorium, in Coimbatore on Thursday.



The event was presided over by the Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran. "The camp aims to motivate those who have studied upto Class 10 and 12 and moved onto jobs at low salaries to pursue higher education to be eligible to rise as entrepreneurs. Therefore, the scheme is being implemented effectively keeping in view the livelihood of the students.



In Coimbatore district, guidance is being given to students who have not gone for higher education to pursue higher education and as part of this, guidance has been given to 49 students and their parents at the camp held today. In this camp, 16 people applied for higher education, 18 for skill development training, one for lawyer course, two for ITI course and five for skill training. Steps have been taken to provide necessary guidelines for engineering and nursing courses and NEET exam training to seven students," explained the Collector.

He further added. "The 'Naan Mudhalvan' scheme will be very useful for admission to reputed universities and skill development institutes by the top institutions of the country in accordance with the merit and interest of the students. The professors who identify the talents of the students and teach education should encourage their skills more and more."



Chief Educational Officer Bhupathi, Bharathiar University Naan Mudhalvan Project Implementation Officer Vimala, Assistant Director of the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Training Institute Valarmathi, District Teacher Training Institute Principal Rajan and others participated in the camp.
