Karnataka elections : Yeddyurappa says people fed up with Siddaramaiah govt, assures good governance

Karnataka elections: Voting started early on Saturday after a high voltage campaign by the Congress and the BJP.

Karnataka : People in Karnataka are on Saturday voting in an election marked by politicians abusing their rivals and making promises that could drain the state’s finances.

In what is projected as a tight race, voting is being held in 222 out of 224 seats in a three-cornered contest among the ruling Congress, the BJP and the JD(S).

The polls in Rajarajeswari Nagar constituency were deferred to May 28 after a row erupted over a large number of voter ID cards being found in an apartment. Similarly, election for the Jayanagara seat in Bengaluru was countermanded following the death of BJP candidate and sitting MLA BN Vijaykumar.
