Coimbatore : The President of the Coimbatore Government Employees Association and the Co-ordinator of the Jacto-Geo, V Senthilkumar was transferred to Thiruvannamalai without any particular reason. The Jacto-Geo and Government Employees Association members protested at the District Collectorate today by raising slogans against the Government for transferring V Senthilkumar citing that it was a vengeful decision. They demanded immediate withdrawal of the transfer order at the District Collectorate, today.

The protest was led by the Government Employees Association District Secretary, S Kumar. The Government Employees Association President, Senthil Kumar, Rural Welfare Development President, Muthuraj, Teachers Association members Arasu, Rajasekar and others were also present.
The Government has also issued a transfer order for the Rural Welfare Development President, Muthuraj, Administrators Srinivasan and Ramamoorthy. The protestors raised slogans to withdraw the orders and asked the Government to reach a consensus of the demands made by the employees through a discussion.
