According to the Indian space agency, 'Vikram' lander will commence the touchdown on the Moon's South Polar region between 1.30 am -2.30 am on September 7.
Both the Orbiter and Vikram are in good health, ISRO said.
After successfully completing the second and final de-orbital operations on Wednesday, Vikram Lander's final descent to attempt a soft-landing on the lunar surface commenced.
Vikram Lander is scheduled to powered descent between 1 am to 2 am on September 7 and touchdown on the Moon's South Polar region between 1.30 am - 2.30 am.
After the touch down, the rover Pragyan will roll down from the lander to carry out the research for which it was designed.
A successful landing to the Moon will make India the fourth country after Russia, the US and China to achieve a soft-landing on the lunar surface. But, it will be the first to launch a mission to the unexplored Moon's south pole.
