The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has advised consumers to report power outages, Fuse Off Calls (FOC), low-voltage issues, and other electricity supply-related grievances through the 24x7 Minnagam Call Centre (94987 94987), enabling faster response and timely resolution of complaints.
Coimbatore, June 5: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has urged consumers to make effective use of the state’s centralized grievance redressal platform, Minnagam, for registering complaints related to electricity supply and distribution.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Coimbatore Region Chief Engineer (In-Charge) Sumathi said consumers can lodge complaints pertaining to power outages, Fuse Off Calls (FOC), low voltage, and other power distribution deficiencies through the 24-hour Minnagam Call Centre by dialling 94987 94987.
She noted that the helpline has been established to ensure swift registration and monitoring of consumer grievances, enabling officials to initiate corrective measures without delay.
According to the Electricity Board, complaints received through Minnagam are immediately recorded and forwarded to the concerned field officers for prompt action. The centralized system also facilitates better coordination and tracking of complaints, helping improve service delivery and consumer satisfaction.
Emphasizing the importance of the facility, the Board appealed to the public to utilize the Minnagam helpline for all electricity-related grievances instead of relying on informal channels, thereby ensuring quicker resolution and accountability.
The Board reiterated that the Minnagam service functions round the clock and remains accessible to consumers throughout the year, providing a dedicated platform for addressing electricity supply-related concerns efficiently.
