Off spinner Raghu mesmerises with a brilliant spell to help RMMCC beat Vijay Cricket Club convincingly

Coimbatore : Off spinner Raghu bowled a brilliant spell as Rajasekar Mani Memorial Cricket Club scored a convincing 98 run victory over Vijay Cricket Club in the TNCA, CDCA second division league matches held at Rathinam Technical campus grounds on Sunday.

Batting first, though RMMCC's top order batsmen collapsed, the middle order batsman Kathirrsan along

with the opener Perumal steadied the partnership to help the team recover. A quick fire 37 from 30 balls from Shanmuga Sundaram helped RMMCC to score a decent total of 221/9 in 50 overs.

Defending the target, Shanmuga Sundaram struck in the very first over. Vijay CC lost their wickets at regular intervals. Raghu piled up a five-wicket haul beginning with some on target bowling and dismissing the batsman in the very first ball of his spell. Thereon, Raghu dominated proceedings with his bowling which ultimately helped RMMCC to bundle out the opponents for just 128 in 37.1 overs.
