Tourist Alert: Nilgiri Mountain Railway services cancelled till November 1

Train services on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway between Mettupalayam and Udagamandalam have been cancelled on October 30, 31 and November 1 following heavy rains, landslips, falling boulders, mud and fallen trees obstructing the tracks. Railway personnel are carrying out restoration work amid challenging terrain and weather conditions, but the extensive damage has delayed the completion of the work. The cancellations affect Train Nos. 56136 (Mettupalayam–Udagamandalam) and 56137 (Udagamandalam–Mettupalayam) on all three days.
