Coimbatore GCT Among Three Government Engineering Colleges to Get AI and Robotics Labs

The Tamil Nadu government plans to establish Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics laboratories in three government engineering colleges across the state, including the Government College of Technology (GCT) in Coimbatore. A tender has reportedly been floated for setting up the proposed facilities. The initiative aims to strengthen technical education and provide engineering students with practical exposure to emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotics, machine learning and automation. The proposed laboratories are expected to support hands-on learning and help students develop technical skills relevant to evolving industry requirements. The initiative is part of efforts to enhance laboratory infrastructure in government engineering institutions and expand opportunities for students to gain experience in advanced technological applications.
