Coimbatore: The Save Soil Movement has been receiving heaping support from people in different fields in India, including celebrities, politicians.
Celebrities from different walks of life including politics, cinema, music, and sports have extended their support to Sadhguru's 'Save Soil' campaign to create awareness about soil conservation globally. Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi said in a statement, "Protecting the soil will provide a solution to the major problems faced by mankind." Along with the post, she also shared a video of her interaction with Sadhguru.
Former Lieutenant Governor of Pondicherry Kiran Bedi stated, "I don't remember any other person in recent history who has spearheaded various environmental movements like Sadhguru. I wish you all the very best in this 100-day bike ride campaign. We are with you on this journey to save the soil."
The Tamil Actor Santhanam added that there is no country without soil, no human life without soil, he said that all the food we eat is taken from this soil and we become dust after we die. Mentioning that scientists say that the fertility of such soil is declining drastically, food production is expected to decline by 40 percent in the next 25 years according to a study. The coming generations are facing food shortages and have to eat nutritious food.
"Sadhguru has launched a campaign called 'Save The Soil' for this purpose, to create awareness about this, he has taken up a 100-day campaign through bike from London to Tamil Nadu. He is undertaking this journey to create awareness among the people globally and restore soil fertility.

Actress Rakul Preet Singh said that MoUs have been signed with 6 countries to conserve soil fertility. "At the age of 65, Sadhguru has set out to travel to 27 countries for 100 days without a break. If this is not history, what else is history! Sadhguru we are with you."
Actor Ganesh Venkatram said "Many of us, including myself, are not aware of the loss of soil fertility and turning into sand. Everywhere, we continue to hear the news that land is becoming unfit for cultivation. Many things are related to this, including farmers' suicides."
