Traffic diverted in Coimbatore as drinking water pipeline laying works in progress

Coimbatore: An official information is doing the rounds that traffic is being diverted at the State Bank Road in Coimbatore as the drinking water pipeline is being laid in the area.

According to official sources, traffic is diverted due to the construction of water pipe on Coimbatore City State Bank Road. The works will be carried out for 16 days, starting 28th December 2021 and it is scheduled to conclude on 12th January, 2022. The traffic is doubled into single lane traffic.

All town buses and goods vehicles passing through railway station from Avinashi Road, shall reach the Goodshed road through Uppilipalayam Signal, old flyover, touch Ukkadam and can also access Lanka Corner, Government Hospital, Classic Tower Junction, West Club Road, Racing Road, Sungam Roundabout, Trichy Road. Two wheelers from Avinashi Road, Anna Statue Junction shall reach Classic Tower through Hosur Road, Race Course Police Station Roundabout, KG Theatre Junction, Government Arts College Road and reach Ukkadam, Railway Station via Lanka Corner Government Hospital.

Two wheelers from old flyover and Nanjappa Road via Coimbatore Junction (Railway Station), shall reach Classic Towers by taking the route through Uppilipalayam Junction, Red Cross Junction, Race Course Police Station Roundabout, KG Theatre Junction, Government Arts College Road.

Vehicles coming from Trichy Road and Ukkadam can pass through the Railway Station in one lane as usual.
