A car caught fire midway on road in Coimbatore, but none of the passengers were hurt as the driver alerted everyone on time.
Coimbatore: A running car caught fire midway in Coimbatore. However, none of the passengers were hurt in the fire accident.
Imran Nazir, a native of Karamadai in Coimbatore and his family were travelling by car to attend a wedding in Kinathukadavu. The vehicle while nearing the Karpagam College in L&T Bypass Road caught fire with huge smoke, Imran Nazir spontaneously alerted the family and everyone jumped out of the car. After receiving information, fire extinguishers rushed to the spot and put out the fire.
Fortunately, none suffered fire injuries and no casualties are reported. The Madhukkarai police have registered a case and an investigation is in process.
