Coimbatore: A Nigerian man has been arrested for smuggling one crore worth of heroin. This action was taken by Drug Enforcement Division officials. He got stuck on a train from Delhi to Coimbatore.

An officer of the Central Narcotics Control Unit in Delhi was informed that a Nigerian man was smuggling heroin through Coimbatore. They immediately informed the Central Narcotics Division in Madurai and alerted them.
Officers from the Central Drug Enforcement Agency rushed to the scene after receiving the information. Went to Coimbatore railway station and conducted intensive check there. When a young man on the train was apprehended by the authorities on suspicion and interrogated, he responded contrary to precedent. When he checked the bag he was in, it contained 2.3 kg of heroin. The police subsequently confiscated them.
Its total value is one and a half crore rupees. Following this, the authorities arrested the Nigerian and took him to the Central Railway Security Police Station at the railway station.
The investigation revealed that the youth was Edwin Kingsley from Nigeria who was staying in Tirupur and exporting clothes including banyan to foreign countries. It was also revealed that he had smuggled drugs from Delhi and sold them in Tirupur.
The police are investigating if he has already been smuggling drugs like this. Authorities at the Central Drug Enforcement department are investigating where in the chain was he involved in the sale. Authorities also plan to take him to the Central Narcotics Division office in Madurai for questioning.
