Coimbatore: Unidentified gang of women who steal pretending to be begging on the loose in the city.

A video has gone viral on social networking sites over the past few days of a gang of women pretending to be beggars in Coimbatore and roaming every street with infants and stealing from houses when no one is around. For the past few days, in Sundarapuram, Madukkarai Road two women pretending to be beggars have been seen suveiling residential areas and stealing.

The CCTV footage of their actions are spreading virally on social media. Suspicious looking two women with infants were seen in areas including Mohan Nagar, Omshakthi Nagar, located on Sundarapuram Madukkarai Road. It was found that they pretended to be beggars if anyone noticed them and at other times were looking at houses and were stealing things when no one was around. The CCTV footage of these two women entering the premises of a house in Mohan Nagar area and eyeing on things around the house have been recorded.

The footage showed a woman opening a few sacks kept near the house while the other was on the lookout if anybody was coming that way. These are captured in CCTV and are currently doing rounds on social media. The public have urged police to keep an eye on the gang roaming around the place and have asked that the patrols should be intensified.
