Tirupur: Tirupur CPI staged a protest demanding the dredging of the pond that is situated right in the middle of a residential area.

The Chinna Pallam pond situated in the middle of the residential area at ward no. 54 of Veerapandi area in Tirupur Corporation has not been dredged for a few years. Due to this, the area around the pond has been surrounded with overgrown bushes and since the water is not able to flow out, the rain water and stagnant water tend to enter into the residential areas. This has been immensely disrupting the lives of the public in the area.

The CPI therefore staged a protest demanding the Corporation to pay special attention to the dredging of the Chinna Pallam pond before the onset of rainy season.
