Arulgnana Jones and Nisha, a couple from Neelikonampalayam near Singanallur have two children. Arulgnana Jones who works as a nurse in a Gulf nation returned to Coimbatore just recently due to the COVID pandemic.His wife Nisha works as a nurse at the Government Hospital.
While the parents were napping at the home last evening, one of their children Jerlyn Mega (9), who was studying standard 4, was playing in a swing. The child tied a towel to the swing and tried to climb it. Her neck was caught in the towel and she was strangled. Her parents who came out a while later were shocked to see their daughter hanging. They rushed Jerlyn to the government hospital for treatment where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The girl's mortal remains are at the GH for the purpose of an autopsy. The tragic death of the little girl has caused a great deal of sorrow to her family, neighbours and relatives.
