Ini Oru Vidhi Seivom Trust adds sanitary napkins to their free grocery bags

Coimbatore: Understanding the importance of menstrual hygiene for women during the COVID-19 crisis, Ini Oru Vidhi Seivom Trust has included sanitary napkins in the grocery kits they distribute for free to the people below the poverty line.

Kavitha Jenarthanan, Founder & Director of Ini Oru Vidhi Seivom Trust said, "In this Covid 19 situation, Menstrual Hygiene is very important for women. When families below the poverty line are not able to afford one meal a day, they can’t buy sanitary napkins. 

Considering the importance of menstrual hygiene for women, We from Ini Oru Vidhi Seivom Trust have Initiated the inclusion of sanitary napkins in the grocery kit bags. The Government also should consider including sanitary napkins in the essential commodity list."
