As a part of his routine visit ahead of the upcoming local body elections, Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) Commissioner, Dr. K. Vijaya Karthikeyan visited the Government Polytechnic College this morning. This is the venue where the voting machines that will be used for the local body elections are being stored. A source also shares that the counting of votes will be done at this venue.
Corporation Commissioner inspected the Government Polytechnic College, for safe keeping of the voting machines and preparations for counting of votes. At this venue he also inspected arrangements for basic amenities like drinking water and electricity. He also inspected the space that has been allotted for election observers, assistant election observers and the media center.
During this routine inspection he was accompanied by assistant corporation commissioner Bhanumathi, town planning officer Sasipriya and corporation engineers Nasser and B. Kumar.
