TMC Youth Wing leader Yuvaraj slams DMK and Congress

Coimbatore : Addressing media today at his party office, Yuvaraj, the Youth Wing leader of TMC said, "The Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy has assured that an eight-lane project between Chennai and Salem will not be implemented, and electricity should be distributed by underground cables rather than high voltage transformers.”

He slammed DMK stating, “The DMK will be destroyed if they politicise farmers' issues. People will not be deceived by the DMK claiming to be part of a secular alliance, but in actuality they are contesting the election only on the basis of religion.” In a further attack this time round aimed at the Congress, Yuvaraj said, “Congress has become a subsidiary of DMK and the Lok Sabha seat was given to Karti Chidambaram who went to jail on corruption grounds. This is going to be the downfall of the Congress which has become a caste-based party by appointing its leaders from every caste.”

In an obvious reference to Udhayanidhi Stalin's election campaign speeches, he opined, “Udhayanidhi Stalin is speaking out of cinema fascination. Edappadi Palanisamy was born in a village but Udhayanidhi Stalin has only acted as a village boy. “ Yuvaraj also commented on the AMMK’s new symbol mocking, “We don’t know whether there is a snake or scorpion in the gift pack symbol of AMMK.”

Speaking about the BJP–TMC coalition government, he opined, “There will be a few issues in a mega coalition. But we are united and working together. GST will be beneficial in the future. TMC will be a bridge between minorities and majorities,” he added.
