Deceased sanitary worker’s family protest at District Collectorate demanding compensation

Coimbatore: The family of Corporation contract sanitary worker who died due to asphyxiation while cleaning septic tank in Gandhipuram protested at District Collectorate today demanding Rs.10 compensation.

The family members of deceased sanitary worker Mahendran tied their eyes with black clothes and protested near District Collectorate today. The family members demanded Rs.10 lakh as compensation for Mahendran’s death.

Mahendran, a contract sanitary worker with the CCMC died on 28th last month inhaling the poisonous gas while cleaning a septic tank in Gandhipuram.
