Two-day tea and tourism festival begins in Ooty

Nilgiris: The two day Tea and Tourism festival was inaugurated at Ooty Tribal Welfare Centre here today. MP KR Arjunan inaugurated this annual event today.

Several varieties of tea leaves like black tea, organic tea, white tea, silver tips and many others produced at Nilgiris are displayed at this festival. Also, tea leaves ranging from Rs.300 to Rs.1,000 per kilo are also displayed here.

Tea Board, INDCOSERVE, and many other private tea factories have put up stalls at this event. Also, best performing co-operative tea factories were also awarded during this event.
