Woman murdered in Tiruppur

Tiruppur: A mother of two, residing near Idavampalayam in Tiruppur was found dead at her house yesterday. Tiruppur police are investigating.

According to police, Nathiya lives with her husband Boopalan and their two children at Kamatchi Nagar in Idavampalayam, Tiruppur. Boopalan works at a private knitwear company here. Yesterday, Boopalan's brother Jeeva has visited their home and found Nathiya lying in a pool of blood inside the house. He found that someone has slit her throat while she was alone at home. Veerapandi Police station has registered a case and investigating.

Tiruppur City Police Commissioner Nagaraj also visited the crime spot and enquired with Nathiya's neighbours. Neighbours told investigators that Nathiya was chatting with them till 6 pm yesterday. Investigators also found that the culprits have stolen a 5 sovereign mangal sutra worn by Nathiya by slitting her throat.
